 About Me

IMG_02051 (1)Hello and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Harry Young. I am a US Veteran. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. At 14 years old, my brother and I migrated to New Orleans to reunite with my mom and aunt. New Orleans is my adopted hometown; where I went to middle school, high school, had my first job, and also where I enlisted in the military. My three lifelong passions have been music, carpentry and architecture. I have been in the construction industry a better part of 30 years. I was a music major in my early 20’s when I started my construction journey in the roofing trade and went on to become a carpenter framing tract homes, apartments, and large custom homes, and I stayed with it for the next 10+ years. In 1996, I met all the state requirements to  obtain  my general contractor’s license in both residential and commercial sectors and started my construction business in the state of Arizona, where I built buildings ranging from small single family homes to music studios to larger custom homes, as well as small to large remodels, as well as commercial and tenant improvement projects.
During the early 2000’s, I started a design and drafting service firm where I worked closely with each client designing their homes, cabins, additions, detached garages and workshops. I also worked with architects, structural engineers, designers, interior designers and general contractors preparing construction drawings and documents for submittal to obtain building permits from small to large additions, new custom homes and recording studios. My extensive 30 years of construction experience as a hands-on builder ensures that my design and drawings are builder friendly, energy efficient and cost effective.
